Puerto Vallarta reported 93 percent occupancy last weekend

Mexico, Nov. 22 (Notimex).- On the occasion of the last holiday weekend of the Mexican Revolution, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, reported a hotel occupancy rate of 93 percent, said the destination's tourism director, Ludwig Estrada.

The official of the local Tourism Ministry explained that added to El Buen Fin was the influx of about 50 thousand tourists, who left a spill above 120 million pesos in the destination.

He said in an interview that among the main activities in this place are the tours made by tourist boats around the bay, in addition to "many people walk along the boardwalk, adventure tourism and enjoy the cuisine".

In addition, he stressed that there are several nearby towns with a great color, such as San Sebastian, Mascota and Talpa de Allende, although the main attraction continue to be beaches and water sports.

He explained that next weekend is expected a strong tourist activity for Thanksgiving Day, celebrated in the destination by many people of American origin.

Finally, he said that they hope to have a "2017 close as Puerto Vallarta never had before", for the holiday celebrations with high hotel occupancy.
