Chetumal Airport increased 28 percent passenger influx

Mexico, Nov. 21 (Notimex) .- As of October 2017, the Chetumal International Airport recorded a mobilization of 221,110 passengers, which means a 28 percent increase, compared to 172,702 passengers transferred in the same period last year.

In a statement from the Communications Ministry (SCT, for its acronym inSpanish), the airport operated and administered byAirports and AuxiliaryServices(ASA, for its acronym in Spanish), reported that the air cargomoved in the first 10 months of the year was 109,976 kilograms. 

This, it explained reflects an increase of 36.9 percentage points, compared to the 80 thousand 336 kilograms mobilized in the same period of 2016.

It explained that in terms of operations, the Chetumal airport reported, from January to October 2017, 5,223 maneuvers performed, which represent 27.5 percent more than the 4,000 transactions carried out in 2016.
