Tlaxcala, Mexico, Sep. 2 (Notimex).- Representatives of Ecuador, United States, Nicaragua, Colombia, Cuba and Mexico will participate in the V International Chamber Choir Festival, to be held from September 23 to 29 in Tlaxcala.
The meeting called "Tlaxcala canta" (Tlaxcala sings) will offer 64 concerts in various locations, mainly Catholic churches, the Tlaxcala Institute of Culture (ITC, for its acronym in Spanish) said in a statement.
"The participation of groups from Ecuador, United States, Nicaragua, Colombia, Cuba, as well as the states of Veracruz, Sonora, Chiapas, Oaxaca and Mexico City is confirmed," he explained.
The festival, which has the support of the Federal Ministry of Culture and the Diocese of Tlaxcala, also includes workshops, exhibitions and free lectures, all revolving around preserving world peace.
Israel Netzáhuatl, coordinator of the V International Festival of Tlaxcala, said that the entity "is known for its vast culture, so this festival contributes to enrich it."
He reiterated that different churches in the entity will host concerts which will also reach the remote communities.
