Mexico, Aug. 19 (Notimex) .- As part of its modernization strategy, Aeromexico has invested about 50 million dollars in improving its technological platform and its e-commerce strategy.
The Executive Director of Revenue, Anko van der Werff, said that passenger expectations are higher, so they look for going further, streamlining processes at the airport with mobile technology, flight customization and destination information on its web site.
Therefore, two years ago the digital upgrade of Aeromexico initiated and in the last 18 months the airline has been focused on the e-commerce part.
The director highlighted that the new site offers a better experience, besides solving problems, since before, 50 percent of people could not complete the transaction, and now the success average in operations is of 90 percent.
They have also installed 50 new stands in Mexico City and 10 in Monterrey, to reduce 50 percent of the check-in time, as they have a reader of documents, cards, besides working on luggage issues so that passengers can do it by themselves and board the plane directly.
Van der Werff said that Aeroméxico is working with Uber for transfers outside the airport as well as with different technological platforms to provide better information to customers and a better service.
Aeromexico also developed a new application, which will have travel notifications and personalized promotions, Premier club access, and an interactive map that allows the user to move faster in the Mexico City's airport.
