Guadalajara, Mexico, Aug. 12 (Notimex) .- The Jalisco state government informed about an agreement with a delegation of Japanese businessmen to launch a tourism project to promote Puerto Vallarta and Costa Alegre in Asia.
The governor, Jorge Aristoteles Sandoval Diaz said that he met at Casa Jalisco with investors from Keidanren, a business federation in Japan that has 1 thousand 340 companies, 109 industrial associations, and 47 regional economic organizations.
He added that the investors expressed their interest in investing in the state as it is the best option to install new companies from different sectors and strengthen the capital, which is already operating in the state.
He said that both governments agreed to work on a tourism project, which includes a publicity campaign to promote Puerto Vallarta and Costa Alegre, including travel options for Japanese tourists.
He stressed he is committed with creating a government with facilities, so that Japanese businessmen obtain incentives with the installation of their companies in the state, and their interest to generate better paying jobs for Jalisco ‘s people.
In turn, the members of the Japanese delegation, which included representatives of 15 Japanese companies, agreed that Jalisco has what it takes for their tourism matters and they had great expectations to promote their companies in Latin America.
